Early Life and Career Beginnings

Chelsea Handler was born in Livingston, New Jersey on February 25, 1975. Her mother, Rita Stoecker, was a Mormon, and her father, Seymour Handler, was Jewish. Handler began her career as a stand-up comedian in the early 2000s, and she quickly gained a following for her self-deprecating humor and honest observations about life.

In 2007, Handler landed her own talk show, "Chelsea Lately," on E!. The show was a huge success, and it ran for seven seasons.
